Pablo Reinoso is an artist, designer and researcher, whose main inspiration is his multicultural upbringing in both Argentina and France. He plays with the structure of his sculptures, honing his craftsmanship of various materials such as wood, slate, brass, marble and steel in the process.

Reinoso focuses his artistic search on the entity, its transference and the unconscious through his use of space and time as an environment. Through this search, Reinoso sought to utilise other materials such as air to incorporate into his work. Such a medium enabled the energy to flow in all dimensions of his self-orientated link between art history and psychoanalysis.

Today, the physical material object in Reinoso’s is simply just a vector to convey his inspiration and thought. The actual study of functionality of his work leads to the inner dialogue between art and design, which transcends into the outer object itself. This is illustrated through the mutation of everyday objects such as mirrors, chairs, benches and garments, instilling a sense of chaos in the certainty of reality we take for granted, triggering our five senses in the process.

Reinoso was born in Argentina in 1955. He studied architecture at the University of Buenos Aires. Throughout his life, Reinoso conducted his exploration through principles that oppose one another in theory and in practice, in turn cultivating his artistic sense. On one hand, his portfolio features numerous design projects for the physical materialistic world which include that of packaging, furniture, interiors and luxury consumer goods. On the other hand, one is able to observe his endless pursuit in the exploration of the intangible boundaries of the soul through his art.

His works of Art and Design are included in international exhibitions such as the Biennale of Venice and Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial, Japan, Art Basel, Miami Basel, FIAC, Paris and ARCO, Madrid. Reinoso’s work have also been showcased in public collections around the world which include, Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo; Mamba, Buenos Aires; Macro, Rosario; Société des Amis du MNAM; Fonds National d’Art Contemporain, Paris, and Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris in addition to solo shows at the Museo de Arte Latoamericano (Malba), Buenos Aires, and Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia (MAM), Brazil and group shows in: Centre Pompidou, Paris, Museo Reina Sofia, Madrid, Museum of Art and Design (Mad), New York, to name a few.
